Well the holidays are upon us once again. Time to light up the old yule log, kick back, and reflect on the year that is almost over. So, let's reflect using the blog rather than the log.
Well, I had a book written on this thing...and I deleted it. Not sure I am ready to bare my soul to those of you who look at the site to see what's going on. So I'll fill you in on the weekend. Not much to fill in but some exciting news.
Friday night: Company Christmas Party...500+ people, good times were had by all except for the guy who was almost fired at the party. How in the hell do you mess up so bad at a Christmas party, the only thing that keeps you from getting fired is a personal appeal to the owner from your immediate boss? Let's just put it like this...dont ever turn down a gift the owner gives you in front of all the other employees.
Saturday: Slept, worked out, went to dinner with Samantha and Angela so they could do their gift exchange (thanks Sami and Claire for the gift, it means more than either one of you think). Hit up Vicci after that with an eclectic mix of people. Got drunk. Went to sleep.
Sunday: Slept till 4, worked out, watched the Colts and the Cowboys lose. Helped Ang get Sami's car. The end.
Now for the big news... I have decided I am going to throw a 26th BIRTHDAY party for myself in April. I haven't had an actual party since I was probably 12 or so. So I am going to make up for lost time. Ill be getting addresses soon to send out invitations. If any of you have an idea for a theme let me know. More details to follow, but mark you calendar because this should be good (April 14th or 15th maybe both depending on the party location).

XXXmas Party
Well my San Diego / Tijuana trip was cancelled at the last minute due to my friend Brad, who I was going out with, getting bronchitis Friday. I am going to reschedule but it's going to be after the first of the year. So I grabbed a few friends and went to a friends XXXmas party Friday night (dont get excited, there wasnt anything X-Rated about this party). Here are a few quick pics.

NEXT STOP...ROSE BOWL
Had a great trip to Houston on Saturday to watch the beloved Longhorns beat the hell out of Colorado. It's the first time I have actually felt sorry for the other team. I have never seen such a one sided game. USC v Texas in the Rose Bowl should be one for the ages. I am really looking forward to being at the game when Texas breaks SoCal's win streak.

Spurs & Strippers
You know how every once in a while, the stars align and you have one of those nights that cannot be planned. A night that will live on in your mind as one of the greatest nights of your life. A night that is so memorable and special, you get a little misty-eyed just thinking about it. Yeah, I didnt have one of those nights this weekend. However, I did have a good time with some people I havent seen in a while.
The five of us started out going to the San Antonio Spurs game. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the game, fun was had by all though. After the game, plans included going down to Howl At The Moon, for some good old-fashioned piano bar fun. Yeah, those plans lasted through halftime, at which time they were scrapped for a gentleman's club proposal. At the suggestion of someone in the group (Brent), we took a chance on The Men's Club in San Antonio (anyone who has been to a San Antonio strip bar can tell you why I used the word "chance"). Bad move. So about ten, I make an executive decision to head north to the infamous Yellow Rose. I call Ricky, gave him hardly any notice, and he hooked us up big time. We had a good time, drank a few drinks, learned some things about each other, and shut the place down. There is more to this story, but I am not elaborating here. Fill some of you in about it later.

JET SETTING
Exciting trips coming up.
Way out West to kick back, drink a little beer, and do a little hunting: November 25-28
Houston to Watch UT Beat the Hell out of Colorado for the BIG XII CHAMPIONSHIP: December 3
The City of Angels for the ROSE BOWL (provided UT can hold up their end): January 3-5
Lake Tahoe to Hit the Casinos by Night and the Ski Slopes by Day: February 2-6 (This one is going to be good!!!)
Spring Break: I'm Thinking the Beach (Now we have to decide, Atlantic or Pacific????)
I know there is one huge place Im missing. Fabulous LAS VEGAS. Look for that trip to be coming sooner rather than later. Let me know if you're interested in making this trip or the Spring Break trip. Thinking maybe New Years in Vegas sounds good.

Friday Night Downtown
Pretty slow for a Friday night. Went downtown for a little while. Started at The Dizzy Rooster for some damn reason. Everyone seems to have become enamored with this place since The Real World Austin started going there. What everyone doesn't realize is that the cast of the show didn't go there because the bar was so cool. They went there because it was probably the only place on Sixth Street that would serve a bunch of minors. So now everyone thinks it's so cool that you can dance on the bar there even though you could dance on the bar there before the show ever went there when noone would be caught dead in this place. In short, this place pretty much sucks. Unless you are into that fickle, bandwagon jumping, can't form there own opinion, trying their hardest to fit in, college crowd. OK. Enough of a vent. We saved the night and went down to Vicci, drank a few drinks, danced a few songs, and shut the place down. Anyway, I am late for the Texas vs. Kansas game. Exciting news about some planned trips coming soon.
