Rolling Thunder

So we took the big harley ride last weekend. I was functioning on about two hours of sleep, so I was a little tired. We had a great ride. Got home much later than expected, but overall had a great time doing about 400 miles. Here are a few pics.

Quick Updates

OK:
Big Harley ride this weekend. We have about ten bikes lined up and five hundred miles in front of us. Its going to be a brutal trip. I dont really like riding long distances; those of you who know the bikes I ride know why I dont like long distances. Im going to take some pictures, so be on the lookout for these.

A little update on some random things in my life. Im on two teams right now, the softball team and the basketball team. Both are horrible. The softball team is 0 - 3 with a runs scored total of 21 to 61. We are getting better and only lost our last game by one run. I didnt play well going one for four. I was batting a thousand up until that point. We will win a game before the end of the year. As far as basketball, we have won one game and probably will not win anymore. Justin was thrown out of our last game for hitting a guy in the face with a basketball from point blank range. That was nice.

Memorial Day is coming up. Hooray for the lakehouse. Ill definitely be getting some pictures for that weekend.

I think we have a routine with this.

We did a second Monday in a row on Lake Austin, and a third in four weeks. My friend Jon was fresh in from Switzerland and Samantha and Amir extended their stay by a day to make it out with us. Jon and I got out on the lake around six and met up with everyone. We headed down the lake and had a few drinks while cruising around. The further down the lake we got, the smoother the water became. It finally reached a point where I couldnt take it anymore. I had not planned on riding as the sun was starting to go down and we were on the cold part of the lake. I changed my mind and dusted off the board for a quick set. Still trying to knock the rust off since I only rode two or three times all last year. We finally made it to dinner at Hula Hut and we all had another drink or two. Hilarity ensued at Hula, but I am not going to detail it because I know Jon took some pictures of the events and Im hoping to get those pictures in the next couple of days and do another entry with it. Anyways, here's what Ang took.

Best Day Ever

A while back I promised pictures of my basketball team that I am currently playing on. Well, I do what I say, so without further adieu, allow me to introduce you all to Best Day Ever. Best Day Ever lost another close game over the weekend, by about twenty points. This brings our record to a stellar one win and three losses. Not really sure how the team name was decided. I believe the saying has some significance to the founders of the team. However, in light of recent events I have devised a proposal. I propose changing the name of the team from Best Day Ever to Worst Team Ever, or we could just change it to Suck, because we pretty much do.

Take Me Out to The Ballgame

Yesterday was my first softball game. I havent utilized the baseball competitive juices for about ten years. I remember why now. With other sports I find myself getting mad at the other team and the referees. In baseball I am completely the opposite. Excepting the umpires, who threatened to throw me out of the game, I get mad at my team in baseball. Most of you know I am not afraid to speak my mind, so if someone sucks I just tell them the truth. All in all, we played like crap and got worked pretty good. Im too embarassed to post the score. I played decent along with a couple of other guys. Oh well, should be a fun but a losing season.

Too Early to Think of A Clever Name

I swear the strangest shit happens to me. Yesterday afternoon, I have plans to go to Lake Austin with several people. Well these folks had to wait a while because the boat dealership left my battery switch on, draining my batteries. Two new batteries later and thirty minutes late we all met up at Hula Hut.

So we wakeboarded for a couple of hours only to run out of gas (due to a faulty gas gauge). We wave a boat down and I be damned if a drunk Dennis Quaid is not standing on the boat. You would think as much as he makes a picture he would have had a nicer boat. Well, about that time the police pull up, and assuming the police would help, Dennis and his friends leave. The cop quickly says "I cant tow yall". Yeah buddy, go harass some people for going to fast in a no wake zone or something. Dont actually help anyone, just piss them off. So I spot two red gas cans on a boat dock. I start swimming over to the shore only to be met by a big black dog barking. He looked a little angry so I decided to check the next dock. I had a twenty dollar bill in my mouth that I was going to leave under the can as payment. Well about this time an old man comes out, sells us a five gallon gas can for a twenty dollar bill that had been in my mouth for a few minutes while I swam to shore (he didnt seem to mind as I offered to get him a clean one). So do we do like smart people and head to the nearest gas station. Hell no, Hadi grabbed another set on the way back and we drank another beer or two (Ashley just skipped the beer and had a whole bottle of wine). We had a nice dinner at the Hula Hut and finally got off the water around ten.
