OK...several updates here. Company basketball team sucks. We are 1-2. We just need some more basic basketball knowledge on the team. Two or three good ballplayers cant beat five decent players. My other team is really good, we are 2-0 and winning everygame by twenty plus points. Nice to be on a winning team.
Joined a new gym last week, you all look for me to be pumping some iron up at Pure Austin at the corner of Fifth and Lamar, just above the Starbucks. Still got the Gold's membership to keep it real and to find motivation, but when Im feeling posh Ill head over to the new place.
OK, now for the crazy shit. So this morning around eight I am up on a jobsite just outside of Round Rock watching everything thats going on. About a hundred yards south of the jobsite, out of nowhere, this truck whips over into the ditch and comes to a screeching halt. The two guys in the truck jump out and commence to fighting each other in the middle of the street. All of the sudden, one guy falls like a sack of potatoes in the middle of the road. Turns out the other guy had stabbed him right there in the middle of the street. About this time, cops start rolling up and they bring in Starflight and helicopter the guy out of there. What a way to start a Monday morning. I just want to know what the hell happened in that truck to make the guys whip over to the side of the road and start fighting each other. I can see the conversation in my head...."Billy, we've been friends a long time, but I have to tell you. I have been banging your old lady for the past six months".

Intel Implosion
Yesterday, we had quite a buzz in the building. As you may or may not know, they imploded the Intel Building yesterday morning around seven o'clock. The Plaza Lofts was apparently the place to be as we had all the media, politicians and other folks watching from our roof. Several people had private parties. Ang and I went over to the Miller's party across the haul. Thanks to Paul and Karen for a great time. We rolled out of bed about six thirty and stumbled over in our pajamas. They had migas, mimosas, and bloody marys out the wazoo. We had a great time and then went back and passed out for a little while longer. Here are a couple of pics. I have a great video of the actual implosion, but I cant figure out how to post it on here.

THE LABRADOODLE
Pretty much ran the gamut as far as range of events last weekend. Friday night, Ang and I celebrated Valentine's Day. It was nice. Saturday morning, I had my first game for the second basketball league I am playing in. We pretty much blew the other team out and ended up winning by like thirty points. Saturday after the game, I changed clothes, packed up, threw the motorcycle in the back of the truck and headed to Damon's ranch outside of Lampassas for Kenneth's batchelor party. Got there a little after lunch. The plans for this batchelor were to put on our cowboy hats, hit up some hill country honky tonks and have a few drinks. That idea lasted about two minutes after getting on the bus. I believe the statement was "Who gives a fuck what the batchelor wants to do? We're doing what we want to do." With that said, we headed to Austin. Overall, it was a good time that night. I ended up passing out at my apartment because I didnt want to ride back to Lampassas in a limo bus full of drunks at two in the morning. Got a ride out there to pick up my truck the next morning and came home and rested.
Memorable events: Ryan and his Labradoodle shirt, CHEERLEADERS...LIBERTY HILL!!!, "some cowboy just grabbed my ass!".
Last night, several of us went out for Fat Tuesday and I was reminded again why I hate sixth on Mardi Gras. Too many trashy people. Never again. We went over to Glass for a bit and then hit up the Library and The Dizzy Rooster. Home early.

It's About Time
So, one of my partners in crime, Mr. Robert Reeves ordered his Z06 Corvette today. Dealer said it would take 10-12 weeks. Between me in my GT and him in his Z06, it may not be safe this summer in Granite Shoals. I forsee many a drunken drag race down 1431. Congratulations hombre.
BOOM!
One week from this Sunday the Intel building is set to be demolished. For those who dont know, its the building shell that is on the opposite side of the park next to my building. Being that my building has apparently the best vantage point of anywhere, the contractor is slated to host a big party on the roof for some U.S. Senators and Congressmen to watch the implosion. So I am either going to get up early or stay up all night partying to watch the event. I dont know how cool it would be for me to go on an all night bender and then try to go to a party where most people are wearing suits. Its happening at 7 AM on Sunday the 25th. I will try to get some pics of the explosion if I can.

What The Heck Man?
So I told everyone I was sick on Sunday, well I thought I was getting better yesterday but apparently I was just getting rid of one and getting something else. My stomach problems are going away, but now I have a wicked chest cold. I think I got this from Friday night on my way home from the bar. It was cold, wet, and windy outside and I was walking home. Hopefully eventually Ill get better.
Other than that, Happy Birthday to my cohort down the hall. I feel bad for forgetting yesterday. I owe u one.

Valentine's Day
Alright guys...those of you not in the mood for sappy stuff, go ahead and click away now.
With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought I would use my little corner of cyberspace to glorify not only one the best girlfriends on the planet, but one of the best people as well. I just want everyone to know that I am over the moon for a certain young lady named Angela. Over the past little while, I have realized how important she is to me and I just want her to know I grow more and more in love with her everyday. I've made it hard at times on both her and myself; but with our recent anniversary and valentines day, I just want her to know how completely in love with her I am. I love you baby. Happy Valentine's Day.

Work Sucks
So yesterday I'm sitting at the office, being rather productive and I cant help but notice how pretty the weather is outside. I had been told it was going to approach 75 degrees yesterday. About eleven my phone rings, it is Jason, the guy who I have become pretty good friends with who sold me my boat a few weeks ago. Anyways, he's like "hey, i have to run out to the lakeside store and I dont really want to come back to work so why dont you meet me at the marina and we can take the boat out and tell Kenneth (his boss) that we are going over some stuff on the boat. It took me about three seconds to agree to this. So I head to the house and change into lake clothes. We're on the water by about one and hung out till about six. It sure beat the hell out of working yesterday.
So now today. Today my day is going to consist of hanging basketball goals at our shop building. We're installing a basketball court for the company employees to get exercise on and the company team to practice on.
Work has been pretty entertaining so far this week.

Everybody Loves A Winner
Alright guys...I am presently in the middle of my Super Bowl and Sushi little get together. Had a few folks over and ordered lots of appetizers and sushi. I think we have all had a good time. I picked the Colts and the over, right now I have already won the over and as long as the Bears dont score again, I will win the spread too.
Last week was pretty hectic with school and work. Some serious scares at work as far as a mistake that almost cost us a bunch of money. Got it worked out and everything is going to be fine. But it was pretty tense for a couple of days. This screw up could have potentially been a million dollar mistake. That woulda sucked.
Other news. My buddy bought the club Glass last week. He closes on it tomorrow. Talked to him today and he's giving me the entire club for my birthday for no charge. So, with that said, I am announcing my birthday party......Glass, Friday or Saturday April 13th or 14th. Probably the 14th at this point. Ill make the decision this week. Should be a great time.
Im thinking February will be the month of old friends returning to town. My friends Brad, Chuck, and Chris Samuel will all be returning from various work assignments. Brad has been from San Diego to Phoenix to Los Angeles and hasnt lived in Austin for about three years. He's really excited about getting back if he's able to (he's still only about seventy percent likely to make it back). Chuck is coming back from Dallas for the past couple of years and Chris has been working during the week in Miami for the past little while. Should make for some good summer adventures.
Upcoming events: Breakfast with some State Reps and the Governor this Thursday, Rodeo kickoff gala next Saturday for charity, and Kenneth's batchelor party the weekend after that.
