Good and Bad News

First the bad news, I forgot my camera so I have no pictures of sunny Scottsdale.

Now the good news, I had a blast in Scottsdale. We started the trip off by going straight from the airport and just killing some time and wandering around the kierland shopping center in downtown Scottsdale. This is like nothing I have ever seen. Its like an outdoor shopping mall. I know what you all are thinking "like a shopping center right" wrong. Picture an actual mall with no roof. Its laid out like that and it has little cantinas and outdoor cafes all over. We shopped for a bit, I got some cool stuff and then headed back to the house. We kicked it at the house that afternoon and went shooting. Nothing like shooting a machine gun. That evening we headed over to the sports bar for some drinks. After getting ready we headed over to Suede. Suede is a very trendy club in downtown Scottsdale. It very much reminds me of a Miami style nightclub, both in its layout and its clientele. Beautiful people and a never-ending stream of Ferraris and Aston Martins waiting to valet out front. Closed that place down and headed for the house.

The next morning we headed out for a little motorcycle ride around Scottsdale. Nice relaxing ride up around the lake. That afternoon, we hung out at the house a little bit more. Took it easy that evening, we were going to head over to E-4 which is apparently a little more of a dance club type atmosphere than Suede, but elected not to. I ended up rescheduling and coming home on Sunday morning instead of Monday morning just because I wanted to be home for Easter.

Overall I had a great time and much appreciation goes to my hosts: Jon, Brad, and Blake. Looking forward to the next trip and you guys need to get back here to Austin.

Notable stories from the weekend: Brad going over the wall not once but twice, Brad threatening to kill a small child while eating, meeting quite a few smart people (Brad and Jon know what this means), my flight home with only 17 people on the whole plane, the Ritz Bitz binge, and the Spiderman chronicles.
