Well last night's Spurs game was a good one. We arrived a little late as traffic was bad getting down there. We went to get a drink and I ran into an old friend of mine, Rugger Gottsacker. Rugger and I used to race cars together back in the day. Rugger's dad Hal started Alamo City Harley Davidson, the San Antonio Harley franchise. Overall he's a really cool guy. Well we start talking about parents retiring as his dad just did and now hes running the company that consists of several dealerships and other enterprises. He makes the comment "yeah hes retired, but he's still taking the money, as a matter of fact I had to write a check to him today for his new Aston-Martin". This turned the conversation to cars as we begin to discuss my Ford GT and the Lamborghini Gallardo he is about to buy. Well I make the comment that I wanted to buy a Ferrari but there is a five year waiting list. He says "man you shoulda called me, the owner of the San Antonio Ferrari dealership and I are good friends, I can get you at the front of the line for one". DAMNIT. I will certainly have to remember this in a year or two. I guess knowing people only pays off if you remember that you know them when they can help you out.
Had a few guys over for the game this afternoon, I think everyone had fun watching the game. Not quite as exciting when you dont have a dog in the fight though. Oh well.
