Good times were had by all last weekend despite all of the adventures that occurred. To keep it short, the jury is still out on what happened, we either caught a rogue wave or had a mechanical failure. Most of you guys know how you can spin a jet ski around and do a 360. Lots of fun on a jet ski, not so much fun in a 38 foot boat at 80 mph. Threw me across the boat into the floor, bumps and bruises all around for everyone. Luckily nobody was hurt, spinning an offshore boat is serious business, especially during a poker run. Ask the five people who were killed when it happened on Lake Texoma last September. Lower unit was either sheared off in the spin or (more likely of the two) the bolts were left loose when it went in the shop a week or so ago which resulted in the lower unit coming off in a turn. Rumor around the lake is I hit something; this is completely untrue. I was in 30 to 40 feet of water and the only way I hit something is if something was floating and I didnt see it. Limped the boat back to the marina on one engine and jumped in the other boat and had a blast in Devil's Cove the rest of the afternoon.
Softball started back up yesterday, we won by ten runs. Off to an undefeated starts, I am sure it will not last too long though.
I got promoted last week, I know that's not real exciting for all of you guys, but it pretty cool for me.
