Memorial Day and Its Aftermath

We got home from Vegas at 1:30 AM Monday morning. This was late enough, but what made it even later and Chris and Ashley's car had been towed. This led to a 3 AM bed time. Slept in till noon and ended up going to Lake Travis instead of the lake house on LBJ. Took a few friend out with us. We ended up running into some other friends that we had run into on the plane ride to Vegas. Turns out they had the same idea as we did, to come back into town and hit the lake for the last day of the long weekend. We ended up hooking about ten boats together and got wasted on the lake. Everything went great till we tried to leave and the damn anchor was hooked on an underwater cable. Couldnt pull the anchor up any shallower than 31 feet according to the guage on the winch. Ended up having to turn the winch loose in order to get home that night. I figured a new winch and the 200 feet of chain that comes with it would set me back about $300. Imagine my surprise when I called the boat dealership the next day and found out that a new one was about $1700. WOW! I immediately called a diver and we ended up going out and finding the anchor in about fifty foot of water on Tuesday night. That saved me a ton of money.

Our softball team got their ass kicked last night for their first loss of the season. We couldnt get the bats going at all. It sucked.

Moved into the Harley Rally yesterday. This one is going to be a little less exciting than last year. Im not gonna bother having a strip club/rock concert set up this year. We are just gonna do it for a day or so and that's it.

The replacement outdrive for my boat arrived today. Hopefully I'll pick up the beast tomorrow.

Speaking of my boat, there is a company that goes around with a helicopter and takes pictures of boats and will send you the pics if you send them the TX numbers on your boat. If you dont like the pics, you just send them back and dont pay for them. Funny thing is, they dont tell you the price. I figure they will be fifty or so bucks a pic, so I have them send me the pics. They send me three pictures of my boat and an invoice for $780. Are you kidding? That works out to $260 a picture. Even though the pics are magazine quality and are freaking awesome, you would have to be crazy to pay that.
