Its been a helluva ride
Well ladies and gentleman all things come to an end. I sincerely believe that the reign of lifeofchristopher.com may be approaching that point. Ive lost interest in it. It used to entertain me to tell about all of the exciting things happening. Now, I dont really care so much. I still enjoy looking back at it like a diary, but its simply too much work and lets be honest, there for a while I was a pompous prick who was really into self-glorification. I am still gonna post when I feel like it, although maybe more of a soap box type thing and less of a "we got really wasted and ended up with all these naked girls the other day". With all of that said I have more stories from this summer than from any previous summer. I wished I blogged more now because they're great. I assume you all know by now that Ang and I got engaged a few weeks ago. That changes my priorities a bit also. So...thats all I got right now. My brain really isnt working because its so hot in Angela's apt (the reason Im awake and not sleeping). I would like to update you all on my life and I may try to do that tomorrow (I dont think I have anything too major on the calendar). In summary and what Im trying to say is the lease on the domain name expires next month and I dont think I am going to renew it. Therefore...I think the sun is going to set on lifeofchristopher.com. Ive kinda lost interest in the myspace too. I would like to keep it because its easier to message people than call them sometimes. We'll see. Later

Gotta Hit The Gym
So Sumer is winding down, people's figures are declining (mine included), people are breaking out the winter clothes and packing the swimsuits away. This was good for me because I havent exactly been tearing the gym up the past few weeks. I got to thinking this afternoon about upcoming events. First, we have halloween...every year I think of some creative costume. This year I thought of a great costume that would be unique. Problem is I am in nowhere near good enough shape to pull it off. I got four weeks. I can make a dent at least by that point. Im gonna do it. The week after halloween, I am going with some friends to drop my boat in at Miami Beach and do the big poker run down to Key West. I gotta get in shape to compete with all the Miami people as they keep beach bodies 365 days a year. After that is hopefully my trip to Australia to see Potts sometime in December of January. It will be summer down there in Bondi Beach. Looks like I dont get a winter slack off season this year...Im out, going to lift.
No Longer a Nightclub
Well, I made a life decision change this morning. I went out and spent a couple hundred dollars last Thursday at the grocery store and the liquor store combined. I did this to restock my fridge and my liquor cabinent. This morning I realized I need to go restock my fridge again...what happened you say? A Friday and Saturday night happened. My place has become the after hours club for all of my friends. No mas. Im tired of my place being wrecked on Sunday morning three days after the maid came and got it spotless. Im tired of being out of beer when a friend comes over to watch a football game because it all got drank the previous weekend, tired of having to stay up till the last person leaves. So with that said, I love you guys but from here on out...we all say our goodbyes at the bar and you go to your house and I go to mine. My home is now just that MY home and no longer a place for friends to crash on the couch because they dont want to foot the bill for a cab. Its not a frat house its a half million dollar condo that I live in and I am going to start treating it like that right now. Does this mean that people are no longer allowed to meet up at my place and have a drink before heading out downtown. Of course they are. My friends are always welcome to do that. But my place closes when the bars close. Everyone except me out by two.

I Swear It Finds Me
Im a magnet for dumb shit. I find myself involved in drama and its always people outside my inner circle of friends. It's these "kinda friends" that cause all the shit. Happened again today. But...with that said, if ur gonna throw rocks, make sure you have your own shit in order. Somebody learned that lesson the hard way today.

So maybe tomorrow...
So I ran out after my meeting today and wasnt back in the office all afternoon. But it was a great day as I received more good news this afternoon that could mean next summer will be even more off the hook than this summer. Fill u guys in tomorrow.
Whew...we lived
Holy shit people. I had one of those weekends that if I were to tell you about it, you 1) wouldnt believe me 2) wouldnt like me (Jonathan) 3) would suggest me for some sort of therapy. So, im going into a meeting right now and as soon as that is over I am going to unleash the blog to end all blogs. Its gonna cover two weekends that have pretty much been the culmination of the entire summer. It's also going to cover some upcoming attractions that should be really good.

We Brought Something Alright...
Im writing this blog from my finance class so its going to simply be a teaser about the coming post. First and foremost, Ive got lots of pics that Im gonna upload. Secondly, we thought we were close to going to jail last weekend...we were wrong. One of our group got close enough this weekend that we actually thought for an entire night that he went to jail. Sunday on Lake Travis was one of those days where you wake up the next afternoon and go "did all that really happen" because it all seemed so surreal. Friday downtown was a trip too. As I said to my buddy Chris early Monday morning "what the hell happened to us"? We used to all be normal people. Now our group has become what should be a friggin reality show, we get more off the wall crap that you couldnt make up if you tried. Fill you all in tomorrow. Class is over.

Im Callin U Out
After working today and emailing back and forth between some cohorts and myself, I have come to a conclusion. Im renaming Devil's Cove. From this point forward I declare that the cove directly across the lake from Carlos and Charlies be called, B game cove. Its our job to get the name back this weekend. From this point forward, guys and ESPECIALLY girls, bring your A game or stay home. Most of the guys who go more than bring their A game, and there are a few girls we go with who bring theirs. Vast majority barely muster a C plus. So...with that said, for those few souls who dare to show up this weekend for Labor Day, be prepared. It gets completely out of hand this weekend. We dodged jail this weekend (barely). Next weekend we need to barely dodge going to Hell. Being this is the end of summer, if u dont bring it this weekend, Im gonna call u out.
Blog Demands
So a blog was demanded by Wednesday...pictures people, send them to me. I got some other rants too but Ill get to those later.

Changing of Residents
So today I am sick as hell. Started feeling bad yesterday and awoke this morning feeling worse. Hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.
So Tynan moved out yesterday. Super nice guy, really sad to see him go. We've talked a little here and there and last night we talked for quite a while about what he is notable for. For those who dont know Tynan, he was one of the central characters in the quickly becoming infamous book titled "The Game". He lived with a group of pick up artist in a house in Hollywood for almost eleven months. One of the pua's now has a show being filmed in Austin titled The Pick Up Artist. There are three PUA's on the show. I have previously met two of these guys a while back. These two seem like very nice guys, a little quirky and off base, but very genuine. Tynan explained the filming of the show was not as good as he had hoped because people knew who Mystery (the main character) was when he walked in the bar and every drunk in the place was throwing themselves at this guy which meant he didn't have to use any pick up. Tynan says J-Dog was on top of his game. He says the producers chose Austin because they didnt think people knew about all of this before the show. That however couldnt be more false as Austin actually has a vibrant pick up community and was one of the original cities that had a project house (i.e. Project Hollywood, Project Austin, etc). Anyway, I assume the premise of the show is teaching guys to pick up women, so it could be entertaining. Ill have to check it out.

There Is Always Somebody Tougher Than You
I like to think Im a tough guy, a man's man if you will. I can simply grunt and take a fair amount of pain, don't really cry in movies or at funerals. So I thought I was a tough guy...until I read this. This guy might be tougher than me. http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/08/14/japan.biker.reut/index.html

Hey I Know You
This weekend was ridiculous. Crazy as hell. Friday night I stayed out at Carlos and Charlies till the wee hours of the morning working on the stereo in my folks boat. At 3 AM I finally forced Chuck to stop his maniacal working and go home. Got it mostly finished. Everyone was suppossed to show up at 2 the next day. Our poker run left at noon, so four of us were gonna do the poker run and then meet everyone to get on the big boat after. The run went to resort ranch which is about thirty miles up the lake from Carlos and Charlies. I overslept so by the time i got all my stuff rounded up, I was literally running to the boat at 11:55 to get there in time. I got on the boat with Ang, Mara, and Chuck and was told I was about ten minutes behind the pack. I figured I would catch up in the 30 miles. I hammered the boat and blew down the lake at speeds anywhere between 75 and 90 the whole way. Pull up to resort ranch and there are only three boats there. I was wondering why I never caught anyone. About three minutes after we got there a pack of about 40 boats comes up behind us. Apparently all the boats had a quick fuel and shot stop about a quarter mile the oppostie direction of C and C. Well, we get some gas, grab a drink and some lunch and bullshit with a few folks. We look down and realize its 1:50. So we jump in the boat and hammer the throttles back to C and C. Get there, load about 30 people on the big boat and head to devils. We got nuts in devils all afternoon, pissed a game warden off, drank entirely too much and then headed back to the dock. We're apparently getting famous around carlos and charlies for the dock parties we have. With the grill rolling, the 106 inch screen going with some of the craziest music videos around and the light show going crazy, we had a helluva dock party that night. Ended up back in devils about 3 AM for an afterparty. Lit it up. Bed about 4. Sunday consisted of resting. Ran into some random people I didnt expect to see at the lake and I know they damn sure didnt expect to see me which made for an awkward for them, really funny for me moment Sunday.

So My Neighbor Is The New Bachelor
So A friend of mine who lives in my building just got picked to be the guy on the new season of The Bachelor. Some of you guys may know Brad Womack. He owns The Dizzy Rooster, Uncle Flirtys, Chuggin Monkey, and The Marq. Couldnt have happened to a nicer, more genuine guy.

Quick Pics
OK...I finally posted a few pics here from some highlights. Various Devils Cove pics, Canada trip, Harley Rally. I didnt post any from the batchelor party or from the wedding because I was too drunk at both to take any. Last weekend got out of hand in Devil's Cove and concluded with me standing on the front of the boat yelling at people. This weekend is gonna be even worse. We got a high of 97 in the forecast, poker run Saturday morning, club dock and dance on A dock at Carlos and Charlies Saturday night and Devil's all afternoon. Should be a good time. Hit me up if you want to go.

WTF...
I just reread that last post. Wow, I must have been in a strange place yesterday. Anyway, feel much better and completely recovered from the weekend. Two big announcements:
1) I am now on facebook. No idea what it really entails. But I have a facebook site. Look me up. Ill be delving into this a little more and see what the hell I have to do to get something worthwhile on this.
2) I am actively working on setting up the Chris Bradley world tour. We're going global people. I have been telling people I would do this for way too long, so I am just gonna buck up and do it.

OK it wasnt fixed.
I just thought i had corrected the computer problems last week. Took me all week and a trip to the apple store to get it fixed. Finally got it and now Ive got to update the past events. A funny story here before i get back to work.
I had a falling out with a friend of mine a while back because she heard that i had said something about someone close to her. The funny thing was, even the person who told her I had said something said that they actually didnt hear anything but I had a look on my face when they walked up like I had said something. But they didnt actually hear it. Honest to God, I didnt say a word. Trust me, at this point, I would love to be able to say that I talked all kinds of shit, but that would be lying. So, I hear over the weekend that this person is now talking shit about me. I find that rather humorous. This girl got mad at me because someone SPECULATED I said something and is willing to end a friendship over it. Then I find out she is doing the exact thing she got mad at me for doing. However, I know if for a fact because I heard it straight from the recipient of said shit talking. What makes all this SOO hilarious is what has been said about me. R u kidding. I laughed out loud when I heard it.
I just reread that paragraph and I know it makes no sense and its not even really that interesting to read...but whatever, start ur own blog if u have something better. Ill try to get pics up soon. Still too hungover from the weekend to think anymore.

Damn Computer
I was updating the blog this afternoon getting all ready to post some pics when I the Apple Quicktime update popped up. I downloaded the update and immediately started having problems. Nothing worked after that. Nothing would open. No programs would work. So it killed the blog updating today. So I have spent all afternoon surfing the net trying to figure out how to fix the problem I downloaded. Apparently quicktime puts little pieces of itself all over the computer. So its not as simple as just deleting the program. After trying about ten different fixes that were posted various places I finally had to download an old version of quicktime, download another program that would allow me to overwrite a newer version of the software with the older version and reinstall everything. Took a few hours and after getting irritated with everything I'm just not in the mood to update the blog tonight. Tomorrow.

Too Much NO-Xplod
Took my creatine supplement too late tonight so I cant sleep. So I figured I would give u all a rundown of the weekend.
Friday evening went as planned. Got a lot loose. Found a bouncer to punch but was discouraged by my buddy. I mean who the hell wont let someone into a sixth street bar because they're wearing a white t-shirt with holes in it. Nevermind the t-shirt was a hundred dollar burnout shirt with a big huge beaded crown on the back. Wasnt so much the guy wouldnt let me in, it was his smug attitude. Found a hooker to slap but I cant remember why I didnt. Also cant remember why she pissed me off. I just remember she made me mad. I bumped into all these random people down there who I havent seen in a long time. Hit up Lucky Lounge, Dizzy Rooster, and Prague. Ended up leaving my credit card at Prague. On the drunken walk home stepped on some post or something and cut the shit out of my foot (I was wearing flops). My foot pretty much gushed blood the rest of the way home to the point that my foot was sticking to my flip flop. Soaked a towel when I got home. Had a little after party but nothing notable.
Saturday I just chilled out all day and layed low and went to bed early Saturday night.
Sunday I just ran a few errands and went and worked out.
Finished up the stereo in the new boat on Friday night. Loud to the point it will get on your nerves if you turn it all the way up. So I guess that means, it's just loud enough.
If any of yall go out to Carlos and Charlies, look for us after-partying at the boat slip. For those of you who dont know which one is us. Just look for the damn dance club on the boat docks. Cant miss the disco lights.
Cant get real excited about going to Lake Buchanan for the 4th. It's looking like it's gonna be a pool party 4th. Got invited to what should be a real good one. Margarita machines, kegs, around a thousand jello shots, I guess we are making the best of a bad situation.
Brad comes in this week from San Diego. I hear he's been lifting a bunch, so I'm anxious to see if hes gotten any stronger.
Might have bit off more than I could chew with my latest project. Should take step one this week. Let yall know when we start.
Fontenot gets married in five days. HOLY CRAP. Unbelievable.

The Northernmost Highland Lake
Well, the girlfriend is out of town and as I texted a friend of mine earlier "the woman is out of town so i have bars to jump off of, bouncers to punch, and hookers to slap". Look for me tonight screaming incoherently at someone on Sixth Street.
Official word came down from LCRA today, lakes will be closed through the fourth. But, it doesnt seem to be slowing anyone down. Looks like I may be headed to Lake Buchanan this weekend. That means a stop at the "Dam" Pub for their signature Cherry Bomb shots and a stop at Partner's. For those who havent been to Partners, I really dont fit in there. Its more for people who went to trade school and less for folks who went to college if you know what I mean. But it gets rowdy so it's worthwhile.
The Apple I Phone goes on sale today. I drove past the Cingular store on 5th earlier. F-ing ridiculous. Who the hell camps out for a cell phone? Only thing worse would be camping out for Star Wars or for the new Xbox, oh wait, these are all the same folks waiting in these lines.

All Dressed Up and Nowhere To Go
So...
In case you guys havent noticed, we've got a damn monsoon going on here. The rain sucks, but what sucks even worse is they've closed the lakes. No word on when they'll reopen. That leaves the fourth and this so-called guys weekend up in the air. This weekend will include working out and just working it looks like. People have talked about going to the river for the 4th. We've pretty much combed every lake in Texas for sunshine and there is none. If the 4th was closer to a weekend I would try to make it to Vegas or something. Problem is the temperature in Vegas is like one hundred ten degrees right now. So with all that said, my options right now are 1) PRAY the lakes get reopen and we get some sunshine (i have heard this could be measured in weeks) 2) a beach theme party at the apartment 3) other proposals (havent heard any and people keep looking to me for suggestions). This happened in 2002 and we ended up going to Lake Buchanan and geting caught in a wicked rainstorm on the lake that forced us to get in the storage compartments of my boat and just ride it out with a beer.

Still Not Quite Right
Finally came back to life this afternoon. I've been a walking vegetable for two days now. The bachelor party was off the chain and we have all been paying for it since then. The Ghostbar in Dallas is great, had some NFL players at the table right next to us and we outpartied them. VIP manager made best friends with me, so we're now hooked up at both Ghostbars (Dallas and Vegas). Had a guy who looked like a killer drive us around all night Saturday. Saw two old guys trying to fight. Saw two huge gay bodybuilders having lunch together at Katz's after I got back; these guys looked like UFC fighters until one started rubbing the other's leg under the table. Fonty went behind the bar at one of the clubs and proceeded to start making shots for all of us. Nobody stopped him. Young guy in his new Ferrari tore ass out of the bar. Found out the next day the guy wrecked the car about a mile down the road and is in critical condition after the car basically exploded. Im sure I will think of some more stuff in the next couple of days. This weekend, Ang has Ashley's bachelorette party in Galveston, so its round two for the bachelor party this weekend in Austin. After that...the Fountain descends on LBJ for the 4th. They're not gonna know what hit'em. Then back to Travis for the days following the 4th.

Wondering Where I Went?
So I will give you the rundown of why i havent posted in a while. Its Sunday June 24th at 10:30 PM. Since my last post on June 9th, I havent been to bed before midnight. Up until this afternoon at 4, i had a slept a total of three hours since Friday morning when I woke up. I have been in Austin about 24 hours out of the last ten days. I have traveled almost six thousand miles, spent almost ten thousand dollars, been drunk nine out of the past ten nights, partied with people ranging from 60 year old swingers to 21 year old college students, met one of the girls who sends the myspace porno friend requests, seen things that no man should see and done things no man should do. I think i have some pictures from all this. I will check tomorrow. Back to bed.

WHOA!!!!
So I just got a phone call that caught me a little off guard. I would love to outline the exact details of said phone conversation but Im not sure who reads this blog. BUT....ITS REALLY CRAZY. So if you see me, ask me about it. You will laugh your ass off. There are truly some crazy folks in this world. Sometimes you think someone is completely normal; then...WHAM!!!!, a bombshell gets dropped.
Look at the Date and TIME on This Post
OK:
So I bet all of you are wondering what the hell Chris is doing posting this early on a Saturday. Ok, if you're not, ponder this. This post was started at 7:30 AM on a Saturday at my office. Yes, I am working on a Saturday morning and it is not real exciting. What does being at the office on a Saturday morning entail? Going to bed early Friday night, like 10 PM early. Im such a loser. Im kind of in that "been there done that" phase with downtown Austin. I guess I need to start driving to Dallas every weekend to party. Actually second street looks pretty promising if the W ever gets finished and ushers in a new "super upscale" nightlife to Austin.
Anyway for other updates besides about Austin nightlife. Bounced back in our softball game this past week. The game was called due to the "mercy rule" when we went up 19 - 2. We killed'em. Good week at work. In my previous post I had noted that I had a run of bad luck these past few weeks. Not this week, everything has went great. Hopefully it will stay that way through the weekend. I installed a stereo system on the boat dock at Carlos and Charlies on Thursday night. That should pay dividends in about three hours when I get out there to get loose for the weekend. Lot of folks coming out today to hang out for the big Carlos and Charlies beach party. Unfortunately when I put the stereo system in, I stayed too late out there and was too tired to head over to the Dennis Quaid foundation party at The Marq. I hear there were some big names there like Mark Wahlberg, Luke Wilson, and Rosario Dawson. I'll take a couple of friends installing a stereo and myself on Lake Travis over a Hollywood party any day of the week.
Other notes. As Potts called it, the "blow your panties off boat" is out of the shop and anxiously awaiting a 100 mph trip up and down the lake this afternoon. Devil's Cove this weekend. Lake Texoma next weekend for a relaxing guy's weekend with Chuck. Canada the week after that for work. Crazyhorse's batchelor party that weekend in Dallas. Got our reservations at the Ghostbar yesterday. I hear this place is pretty good. I hope it's better than the one in Vegas. The rest of the reservations for the weekend's excitement should be made in the next day or two. Alright, been here long enough. Time to go start the weekend.

I Need A Reset Button
Well the Harley rally was in town this past weekend. With the exception of moving in on Wednesday morning, I did not go at all. This was somewhat unintentional, although after last year, I dont know that we could have went anywhere but down with the rally. Apparently we were sorely missed as there was nobody who had near the set up we had last year. Perhaps we will come back next year and attempt to beat last years rock concert.
What I did do was get so completely sideways on Friday night that it was about three oclock this afternoon before things started to seem normal again. Everything after about 2:30 AM Saturday morning until about 3 PM Saturday is pretty much not even there. I got to the point, I couldnt put a coherent thought together in my own head. No idea where I was at or what the hell was happening around me. Saturday, I was driven to Lake LBJ for a birthday party for Angela's little sister. I was a party pooper as I didnt really talk and pretty much was a vegetable on a couch all afternoon. After the party, I still wasn't right and forced Ang to stay at the lakehouse that night and went to sleep about nine. Sunday included driving home, laying in bed and going to see Shrek 3.
For those of you who dont know, Ive had a recent run of bad luck. My boat got messed up, my Ford GT was in the shop for two weeks, my Denali was wrecked by my assistant, I got a speeding ticket, I got TWO parking tickets on two separate cars last Friday, Josh dropped my phone battery into the storm sewer inlet, I hooked an underwater cable with my dad's boat's anchor. I think that about covers it. So, im thinking things might be looking up here this week. All 21K worth of boat reparis got warrantied, Ford GT finally got the parts in to get fixed, Denali wasnt near as bad as it couldve been, got off the speeding ticket, a diver was able to locate the anchor, parking tickets are taken care of, and I happened to find an extra cell phone battery laying around. So...you guys root for me, I need just a week or two of good luck to lighten things up for me.
OK...for the big announcement. I am establishing a set of rules that I am going to begin living by. Rules are made to be broken, but I am going to do my absolute best to live by all of these rules steadfastly. As I come up with other rules, I will make sure I post them to the blog. So here is a list of the first few.
1) Unless something amazing is already set in motion...bedtime when the bars close.
2) Meet and say your goodbyes in front of the bar.
3) There is a big difference between getting a little loose and completely losing control.
4) Dont assume everyone is as honest as you are. Acquaintances will steal from you and then smile at you right after.
5) If something isnt happening, dont attempt to force it to. You risk making yourself look foolish and harming your reputation. "Just keep living" in the words of some Texan named Matthew.
6) Party to a schedule to ensure you dont lose a day of your weekend to a hangover or an all night bender.

Memorial Day and Its Aftermath
We got home from Vegas at 1:30 AM Monday morning. This was late enough, but what made it even later and Chris and Ashley's car had been towed. This led to a 3 AM bed time. Slept in till noon and ended up going to Lake Travis instead of the lake house on LBJ. Took a few friend out with us. We ended up running into some other friends that we had run into on the plane ride to Vegas. Turns out they had the same idea as we did, to come back into town and hit the lake for the last day of the long weekend. We ended up hooking about ten boats together and got wasted on the lake. Everything went great till we tried to leave and the damn anchor was hooked on an underwater cable. Couldnt pull the anchor up any shallower than 31 feet according to the guage on the winch. Ended up having to turn the winch loose in order to get home that night. I figured a new winch and the 200 feet of chain that comes with it would set me back about $300. Imagine my surprise when I called the boat dealership the next day and found out that a new one was about $1700. WOW! I immediately called a diver and we ended up going out and finding the anchor in about fifty foot of water on Tuesday night. That saved me a ton of money.
Our softball team got their ass kicked last night for their first loss of the season. We couldnt get the bats going at all. It sucked.
Moved into the Harley Rally yesterday. This one is going to be a little less exciting than last year. Im not gonna bother having a strip club/rock concert set up this year. We are just gonna do it for a day or so and that's it.
The replacement outdrive for my boat arrived today. Hopefully I'll pick up the beast tomorrow.
Speaking of my boat, there is a company that goes around with a helicopter and takes pictures of boats and will send you the pics if you send them the TX numbers on your boat. If you dont like the pics, you just send them back and dont pay for them. Funny thing is, they dont tell you the price. I figure they will be fifty or so bucks a pic, so I have them send me the pics. They send me three pictures of my boat and an invoice for $780. Are you kidding? That works out to $260 a picture. Even though the pics are magazine quality and are freaking awesome, you would have to be crazy to pay that.

Vegas Baby...Vegas
Well, we headed out to Las Vegas over the weekend. Part of it was for vacation, part of it was for the UFC championship fight (see the separate blog post below). We shacked up at the MGM Grand and hung out by the pool all weekend. Lost some money gambling and stayed half drunk all weekend. We ended up partying Friday night in The Mansions at MGM. For those who dont
know what this place is, it's a hotel within a hotel if you will. The place almost has mythical status in Vegas as the place where the highest of the high rollers stay. There is a full time security guard who stands at the front door and you dont get in unless you are with someone staying there. It consists of 29 rooms, the smallest being the size of an average sized home. The places are finished out immaculately in a Tuscan style. It just so happened that Angela's prospective employer happened to be in Vegas the same weekend we were. His recruitment consisted of entertaining us Friday night at his Mansion Villa with a fully stocked top-shelf bar and fine cigars that Chris and I smoked on his terrace overlooking the private Mansion Gardens. The place has private pools, bars, and dining rooms and everything is complimentary. Butlers accompany you all the time and are only a phone call away. The place was seriously cool. I had to keep my composure and play it smooth, but I secretly wanted to run around like a little hoodlum getting drunk and playing with everything.

The Iceman Gets Put on Ice
Saturday night, Chris and I headed over to the UFC fight. The casino gave us great seats and we ended up sitting like four rows behind Little Jon. There were tons of other celebrities sitting in the adjacent seats. Jenna Jameson, Mandy Moore, Adam Sandler, Andre Aggassi, and David Spade were all sitting around us. Obviously all the big name UFC fighters were there also. We had a great time, drank a few beers and waited for the big final showdown. There were some great undercard fights but everyone was waiting for the main event. It, however, turned out like the first time you ever had sex, over before you knew what the hell was going on. Rampage claimed the title with a fluke "haymaker" punch and then proceeded to put Chuck's head through the mat with a shot after he went down. Props to Rampage and I am sure there will be a rematch. I tell you who impressed the hell out of me was a new fighter named Houston Alexander. This guy is badass. He RAN OVER a heavily favored Keith Jardine in 48 seconds. This guy is going to be a good one.

Blair's 21st Birthday
We went out for Blair's 21st birthday a week or so ago. Everyone had a good time, we started the night at Shady Grove cafe and had a few drinks. After that we all went over to The Marq for their official grand opening party. Place was packed. Pretty much every person I know happened to be there so I knew a lot of folks there. After seeing some old friends there, we headed over to The Aquarium to get Blair all ripped up. Mission accomplished. She threw up three times that night. The only problem was that Ang tried to drink with Blair and ended up throwing up also. After i got a few drinks in me, I decided it was my objective to "blow the hinges off the place". I started ordering shots for everyone by the song. This means I instructed the bartender to make shots until the song was over. That dude made a ton of shots during a 4 minute Sweet Child of Mine track. I got really rowdy and I think I scared a few folks with my enthusiasm (including some in our group).

Cinco De Mayo
Well, It didnt take me long to figure out how to post a pic. Maybe this Apple thing is easier than I expected. So Cinco De Mayo, a few of us went to Devil's Cove. My buddy Jonathan brought his buddy Johnny (who I actually knew previously) and his friend Ashley (found out this is Bobby Bones' ex-girlfriend). Angela and I met up with those three and Chris and Lizbeth and we all headed over to Devil's Cove. We met up with some other people for a bit over there and then had our own little booze cruise. We didnt let the intermittent rain slow us down as we were there to drink and we got that accomplished. As the sun went down, we headed back into town to a comp'ed botle of Grey Goose at The Marq. It was a thank you for bringing all the folks into the bar for the birthday. Ran into some totally random people that night that I havent seen in a while and ended up hanging out with them. Good times.

How Do I Do This?
Well, Ive converted people. Im typing this blog on my new APPLE laptop. I have no idea what I'm doing but I've been told that I will love this computer once I learn how to use it. So far, I like the way it runs. It's a million times more reliable than the PC. I haven't bothered to find out how to paste pics to the blog. I'm gonna work on that here in the next few days. I have some good ones. I've been doing a fair amount of exciting stuff lately. Spending time in Devil's Cove, on Sixth Street, and a bunch of time in the gym (its starting to pay off finally). I have a big weekend coming up, Las Vegas for the big Memorial Day UFC fight. I gonna try to make a post with Devil's Cove pictures and Blair's 21st birthday party in the next day or two.

Movin On Up
Alright guys, I found my next habitat. My buddy Kyle called me yesterday and informed of some little place thats going in at 2nd and Congress. Little as in 55 floors and the tallest building in Austin by about 10 stories. the penthouses in this place are literally an entire floor. This amounts to about 9000 sf and 360 degree views. They come unfinished so you can do the entire layout yourself. I think that would be pretty sweet and with 9000 sf at your disposal, you could build a pretty sweet pad that I think would provide all the basic necessities. Now there is just that whole problem of paying for it. I heard through the grapevine like 3.8 unfinished. Check it out www.theaustonian.com.

Finally Some Pics
Good times were had by all last weekend despite all of the adventures that occurred. To keep it short, the jury is still out on what happened, we either caught a rogue wave or had a mechanical failure. Most of you guys know how you can spin a jet ski around and do a 360. Lots of fun on a jet ski, not so much fun in a 38 foot boat at 80 mph. Threw me across the boat into the floor, bumps and bruises all around for everyone. Luckily nobody was hurt, spinning an offshore boat is serious business, especially during a poker run. Ask the five people who were killed when it happened on Lake Texoma last September. Lower unit was either sheared off in the spin or (more likely of the two) the bolts were left loose when it went in the shop a week or so ago which resulted in the lower unit coming off in a turn. Rumor around the lake is I hit something; this is completely untrue. I was in 30 to 40 feet of water and the only way I hit something is if something was floating and I didnt see it. Limped the boat back to the marina on one engine and jumped in the other boat and had a blast in Devil's Cove the rest of the afternoon.
Softball started back up yesterday, we won by ten runs. Off to an undefeated starts, I am sure it will not last too long though.
I got promoted last week, I know that's not real exciting for all of you guys, but it pretty cool for me.

America's Most Wanted
Now for the post everyone has been waiting on. In the days following the birthday everyone kind of layed low for recovery purposes. I went to Lake Travis a little while Saturday afternoon and just messed around. Anyway, I skipped class Monday night to catch up on The Sopranos, Entourage and 24 from the past couple of weeks. After clearing out the DVR, it was pretty late so Ang just decided to stay over at my place. Tuesday morning I had an early meeting. I am on my way and Angela calls me at about 7 AM. She tells me that her roommate's boyfriend broke into the apartment and attacked her roommate last night. The roommate got away but did not know where the boyfriend was so she advised Angela not to go home that morning to get ready in case he was still there. Whoa.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER: All the following events are not factual, they are one side of the story, and in no way constitute guilt of one party or the other. Dont know if all this helped, but basically it says...dont send me some cease and desist letter if you happen to be someone's lawyer.
Details of this event...basically the roommate (who shall remain nameless because of the ongoing criminal and civil proceedings) broke up with the boyfriend the night before. He goes out, gets all twisted on who knows what and climbs up the apartment building to their second floor balcony. He then breaks into the sliding glass door and starts going through her phone. She is passed out on the couch while this is happening. She wakes up to find him sitting on the couch going through her phone. He finds a text he doesnt like and proceeds to choke her to the point that she almost passes out. He then steps back and says something to the effect of "im just kidding, i would never kill you". Long story short, he breaks a wine bottle on purpose, cuts himself all to hell in the apartment (place looks like a murder scene), bleeds all over everywhere, throws some stuff through the windows. Cops come the next morning, issue a warrant for him (turns out he also had pulled a shotgun on her two nights previous), issue a restraining order, and tell her to not stay at the apartment any longer.
OK...more exciting news. The Capital Excavation basketball team took home the championship last week. We somehow eeked our way into the playoffs with the lowest seed. Myself, as a devoted team captain ha, saw a glaring hole we had in our team. I recruited a friend of mine who I knew played a little. He showed up and played lights out. Really helped us out. We beat the team who had beat us twice during the season for the championship. They were a bunch of kids in their early twenties who basically outran every team they played. However, our team and their team had both played games previously that night , so it was gut check time. They tried to run and every time they did, they found us right with them. They found out there isnt much difference in athleticism between 22 and 27. We won our semi-final game pretty convincingly. Great victory, I played like crap in both games, but at least we got the W. One more thing, the referee HATED me. Threatened to throw me out, I kept yelling at him, gave me a T, told me I was playing the game too fast and thats the reason I wasnt getting any calls, I told him he needed to retire (he was like 60), openly ridiculed him in front of the fans. I must say I didnt represent too well for sportsmanship, but he was REALLY bad.
On the other hand, the other league i play in, the one that had not lost a game all year, got beat twice on Saturday. Frustrating thing was we had beaten both teams previously. We lost by about ten the first game and only because we didnt make shots. Second game, everyone forgot they had to show up. I was on the second game and was able to keep us in it for a while. But our guards couldnt seem to comprehend that after they hit five three pointers in a row, we might should guard them. Game was close at half time and then in the second half they caught fire and some of our guys gave up. We got worked by about 30.
Softball starts next week so I should have some more Wide World of Sports stories to share.
This week: Corpus Christi for the International Boat Show tomorrow, sky box at the Round Rock Express game Friday, Lake Travis Powerboat Association poker run Saturday, Devil's Cove Saturday afternoon. Summer starts tomorrow for me.

Bad Mood Post
Alright guys. Im in a REALLY bad mood today. People are just doing things that really piss me off. Like most everyone, there are a few basic qualities that some people exhibit that really piss me off. The first is extreme selfishness. People who are content to make others sacrifice something very significant so they can have something little. That irritates me. Some selfishness is ok and even encouraged. However, not to a significant degree. I like the "i'm gonna get mine" attitude. I dont like the "i'm gonna get mine, and yours, and everyone elses" attitude. The second and perhaps the most significant source of my irritation the past few days is people who do not do what they say they're going to do. In regards to all of these, I just wish people cared enough or had enough pride for all of these things. If you tell me you are going to do something, then make damn sure you do. If you cannot or will not do it, fine, but dont tell me you will.
Lets start with the first one. I dont understand how some people can be ok with a person sacrificing something that is very important to them so that the other person can be comfortable. I see people doing this all the time and it irritates me to no end. Give you an example just off the top of my head. Its chilly outside. Guy and a girl walking together. Guy has a sweater on and girl has a heavy coat on. Girl gets mad because she's a little cold and the guy doesnt want to give her his sweater. Keep in mind, the guy only has an undershirt one under the sweater. So now the girl has it exactly her way, sweater, coat, warm and cozy. Guy...frozen.
Second one. This has been a big one for me lately. I have always been the type, if i borrow something from you, I will hunt you down to return it. If I have something and somebody is really needing it, I will make myself available for them to get it. I certainly will not ignore their phone calls until I finally tell them, oh I dont have it anymore. This kind of shit is grounds for permanent removal from my social calendar. Another one, if I tell someone I am able or going to do something for them, you can bet I will make it happen and certainly will go back because its a little more convenient for me. This has happened to me no less than a dozen times recently. With some of them, I try to be understanding, but when its the same people doing it over and over and over again, shame on me for not learning my lesson sooner. Ok, with all of that done, I have very few pictures from my birthday (see the above paragraph for an explanation as to why I dont have more). Birthday was very exciting. Lots of folks came out and I think everyone had a good time. Thanks to The Marq for hosting us all. I think they benefited because we filled the place up for the first time in a while. I have attached a few pictures below.
Good things from the birthday party: Jon showing up unannounced from Zurich, Switzerland for it. Talk about a surprise. That's really cool of him, especially when I have an entire town full of friends in San Antonio who wouldn't even bother to respond to the evite or told me they would come and then didn't bother to show or let me know they weren't coming. I guess that one hour drive down Interstate 35 is a little more tedious than a 13 hour transatlantic flight. Another good thing from the party is I stayed relatively sober. For those who were there last year at the party, yall remember how out of hand it got. Managed to keep the composure the whole time.
I have much more to post (I havent even reached the big drama that occurred last Monday). Ill write some more later this afternoon.
So see the few pics of the bday below and the Plaza pool party on Saturday and Carlos and Charlies Saturday night.

Much To Tell
Much to tell that has nothing to do with this past weekend. Pretty serious stuff.
Also, bday party stories and weekend events. Try to write this post later.

T Minus Two Days And Counting
Birthday party is coming up in two days. Officially over 120 now. Judging by talking to folks, I think we're actually at about 140 at this point. Hoping to get over 150. Consider this a pep talk for those of you who haven't responded.
I've got my last City of Austin basketball game tonight. We have to play the team that beat us like a drum a few weeks ago. Hopefully we can make it a little more respectable this time around.
My other league has a tournament this Saturday. I have committed to play a game Saturday at 11 AM. That's gonna be tough with the birthday party Friday night. Im gonna make an honest effort though.
Softball starts in two weeks. Nice to get out and run around in the green grass.
Excited about going to Lake Travis this weekend for the first full fledged summer weekend.

Happy Easter
Well I've been posting on the Myspace blog also and I went on a little tyrade the other day, so you all check that out.
Michelle, my new personal assistant, is coming along great. Spent a few hours with her the other day and showed her all the locations (office, my place, ang's place, folk's house, etc). Her first day of work was actually Friday. She did great. Did all my laundry, went grocery shopping for me, set up some appointments, and returned some stuff for me. Tomorrow will be a brand new test as I need to send her to pick up some more stuff and then she has to pick up the canine from the kennel and take her to Ang's since Ang is gonna be out of town.
The new boat is going to B dock at Carlos and Charlie's. The folks are gonna put their boat on A dock which works out perfect for me. From what I've been told A dock is the Beverly Hills of Lake Travis and B dock is the Miami. A is a little more posh, a little nicer, bigger boats and the like. B is a little sleazier, a little more crazy, but still with super nice boats. There was talk of both boats going to B, that didnt sit well with me. The last thing I wanted to do was be drunk with a bunch of folks hanging out and have my folks roll up to their boat. This way they're close enough that I can still use their patio at their dock (A comes with patios and bars on the docks) and not have to worry about them rolling up to mine.
Yesterday I had to move dad's boat within the marina from one slip to another. It was suppossed to be a quick trip. Its about a five minute no wake ride. Everything was going perfectly until it started sleeting HARD. Luckily, the boat has the hard top on it but it was still damn cold.
Birthday party moved over a hundred people confirmed last week. From talking to people its looking like we have about 100-115 confirmed at this point. I think, with the last week rush we will be up over 130, maybe 150. Had lunch with Brad, The Marq's owner, on Friday and he told me he would alert a few of his friends to make sure the club looks full. Michelle is going to play photographer that night, so you all make sure you get her to take your picture.
Just found out, literally while I was typing the preceding paragraph that it looks like I am going to be going to Vegas Memorial Day weekend for the UFC Chuck Liddell vs. "Rampage" Jackson fight. Hopefully get out of Vegas Sunday morning and be back in Austin in time to go to the lake on Sunday night and all day Monday.
Last Thursday night went downtown with some Friends, it was a good time. We went to the grand opening of The Marq and had a few, then headed down to sixth and had drinks in a few different places. Home pretty early. Friday, went and saw 300 and it totally motivated me to get back in the gym and chase the "Spartan" abs. Even though, they're totally computer generated in the movie. Saturday, I did the boat thing and then caught up on my episodes of 24.
Oh yeah, I got promoted last week at work. Duties are going to stay the same for the next little while until I am able to find and train a replacement, but I have the new title. Im not going to give the new title on here, as it has not been officially announced at the office.

Florida Opened A Can
So Florida whipped Ohio State all over the court last night. Hmmm. As long as I got to see my "One Shining Moment" I didn't care.
I have given the title of the flakiest person I know to someone. Never given the title before to anyone. I was just resigned to the fact that some folks are flakes. But damn, this person whips everybody's ass. Not even close. Only person I know that will call you to make plans, get all hyped up about it right up to the point its time to do it, and then not bother to show. Truly taken flakiness to an art form. I have learned now, simply inform this person where you're going to be, invite them to join, dont expect him to show. If he does, wow I wouldnt know how to act. But, whatever you do, do not make plans that rely on this person.

Trash In Travis
Love me some alliterations...
OK...big updates. Not really. Finished up my basketball league last Friday night. The Friday / Saturday league finished the season undefeated. Now we just have to hold court in the end of season tournament in two weekends.
Friday night, I just passed out after the games.
Saturday, I ended up assisting with moving my dad's boat to a new marina. The boat is now housed at Carlos and Charlies. Made for some dicey docking with the high wind and sheer size of the boat. After getting it set up in the slip, Ang and I were gonna take it up to Christian's lakehouse on the Pedernales River. We start making the run (about a thirty minute ride at 50 mph). Get almost to the mouth of the river and run into horrible looking muddy water with debris everywhere. I knew there would be a little bit with the recent rains but the water coming out of the mouth of the river was way too disgusting to even try to continue. We turned around and made the run back to the marina and put the boat away. It was nice to finally get out on the water and in the sun.
Saturday night, we were going to go downtown for a bit. We ended up hooking up with some folks and then some more folks and we ended up with about fifteen people in our group. We started at Gruv, this place is still just packed on Saturdays. I dont really get it because there isnt that much to the place. Apparently from what I hear the owners are really nice people and they deserve it though. So I guess it's good. From that point, we all headed over to Prague. This is a great club as far as the layout and the decor. I think they could have saved a little money and made the club a little more chic if they would have not hung the flatscreens with sportscenter on them everywhere. Come on, your attention should be on the people you meeting, not the television. It's not a sportsbar. Notice I said nicer earlier, not cooler. They gotta crank up the AC in this place. It got so hot by the time we left that everyone in our party was sweating. Headed over to Foundation at this point. Finished the night off there. Ended up getting really drunk and having conversations between bathrooms with guys and girls (if you've been in the Foundation bathrooms, you know what I mean). Did a bunch of tequilla shots and ended up falling over in the hallway of my floor of my building. The bitch of it all was I had driven down to Gruv and parked the car, so I had to drive back to my place. That was rough and frightening as I passed the two cop cars parked on the road.
Sunday morning was bad news. I havent been hungover like that in a long time. I got up about eleven and had to go move my car because I was parked in someone elses garage space (I didnt give a crap if they towed me that night as drunk as I was). Went and got lunch in hopes of making myself feel better. It kinda worked. Then I went home and passed out until about six thirty. That worked and made me better except for the fact that everything I needed to get done yesterday didnt. I ended up running errands until like elevent o'clock last night.
Personal assistant news. Interviewed some good candidates last week. All would be viable options. I told them I would have a decision for them last weekend. I have yet to notify them. I think Im going to go with the girl who lives downtown who is only like two blocks away from me. Im a little worried about her reliability as I think she likes to party a lot. But, that's what firing people is for I guess.

Insert Clever Title Here
Last night's company basketball game was entertaining. We got rolled up by about twenty, but the other team went about seven deep and the starting five were all pretty good. Without Eric there, I felt the pressure to keep us in the game. I played out of my mind the first half and managed to actually have us in the lead at halftime. The other team got wise to this and came out in the second half and put their best player on me and started double teaming me. That basically ceased our offensive production. Whenever they would stop with the double teams I would try to get a couple of quick baskets before they started again, but it wasn't enough. We had drama amongst our team during the game that carried over into the workplace this morning. A word of advice "if you're playing on a company team and the company owner is the coach, dont yell at the coach during the game, he's also your boss's boss."
Bday party is coming on. Up to a very conservative sixty at this point. Got some cool stuff in the works.
I have my first two interviews for the personal assistant position today. I have two this afternoon and three tomorrow. I would like to get someone hired by this weekend in hopes of them starting next week.
You know, just when you think you're a big baller, you realize how far you have to go. I'm in the elevator this morning about six forty five headed to work. Another guy, who I know from the building, who lives on the top floor, is coming down also. A little history on this guy, he owns two adjoining units on the top floor. He's probably mid to late thirties. He was one of the initial people who developed the computer firewall. Basically the guy has a DIRTY bank account. Nice guy overall, kinda quiet, but friendly. I don't know if he lives in his place full time or not, but I hear he has a place somewhere in France also. I make the comment that it looks like he's going somewhere (he's carrying a gym bag and a backpack). He informs me he's going to San Diego for the day. I quickly think "damn that's a lot of airport time and flying for just a day trip". Then it hits me that I've been told this guy has not one, but two intercontinental jets. Kinda felt stupid, Im trudging out at seven AM to make my Thursday morning staff meeting, hes be-bopping out for a day trip on his jet to sunny southern California.

Overwhelming Response
Im staying with the blog right now. I am currently keeping two blogs, one here and one on Myspace. They say about the same thing and I am going to keep doing both of them until I determine which one I like better. Anyway on to more exciting news.
Birthday party is taking shape. We're still three weeks out and we already have 30 people RSVP'd. Looking for approximatley 150 - 200 folks at the party. If I dont get it, Ill be dragging people off the street since the Womacks were nice enough to give me the entire bar and I'll be damned if Im gonna give them a shitty night.
Two nights ago I finally made the decision that I need a personal assistant. Between work, school, working out, going out, and everything else, I hardly have time to do mundane chores. Things like laundry, cleaning the apartment, getting the car washed, grocery shopping, and other things like this. I put a post on Craig's list figuring I might get a few responses over the next couple of weeks and I could determine if I wanted to hire anyone. I got forty responses in one day. Some folks sent full blown resumes telling me about their college degrees and their work experience. My first question was,"If you have an BBA from Florida State, why are you applying for a part-time personal assistant job?". Other people just send pictures of themselves. These are usually the pretty girls who just want the job because of their looks. Funny how good looking girls think that is all it takes. So, Im going to go through all the responses this weekend and arrange some interviews next week. This should be entertaining.

Going The Way of The Dinosaurs
Well Guys:
The blog may be coming to an end. Not for sure yet, but I am currently on an active mission to either get rid of the myspace or the blog. Too much computing for me to keep interested. And since the Myspace has a blog section and its more interactive, I may just start posting over there. I do however like the fact that I am not limited to how many pictures I can post on this blog. So, we'll see. Anyway, I am committing myself to making my myspace different (its been the same for like six months) and Im going to post some new pics on there. So yall check it out. www.myspace.com/lifeofchristopher. Give me a couple of days to get around to it though.

I Tried
I tried to get into the Saint Patrick's Day spirit yesterday, but I just couldn't make it happen. Rested yesterday morning and watched college basketball. After getting up, I headed over to The Domain and checked out Neiman Marcus. This is a really nice place and the entire mall is really impressive. After that, I headed over to Hula Hut to meet up with some friends and have some leprechaun green margaritas. Had a few of those and after that headed over to Fado's Irish Pub. Got down there to meet up with my friends and realized that apparently everyone in Austin had the same idea I did. I was too hungover to wait in lines and fight crowds, so I was going to go to the house and relax a little bit. Went home and passed out for like three hours. Woke up and realized that last night was not going to happen. Went to bed at like ten-thirty.

Top of The Morning To Ya
WOW!!!
Before I begin, let me say Happy Saint Patrick's Day.
Last night got off to a slow start, but we brought it home and came through at the end. Group of eight of us went over to Union Park for some drinks. We were rolling pretty well and having a good time and I decided I needed to go get my camera. I walk back to my place and as I am approaching the building I see there is like a hundred people standing out front of my building. I ask the first person I see what is going on and they're like "we're trying to get into the Maxim party". Oh yeah, I forgot abot that. I had met the promoter earlier and he introduced himself and told us to come by. I didnt know it was this big of a deal. Anyway, i go back to the bar and finish off the night. At this point, we head to the house and have a few drinks at my place before heading upstairs. Here is where it gets weird. We head upstairs, get off the elevator on the roof and start walking over to Sonny and Rob's place (where the party is being hosted at). I look over toward the buildings rooftop pool just in time to see a guy and a girl putting their pants back on. Both of them, butt ass naked. They had just finished having sex on the pool lounger. Nice. Oh, Im just getting started. We head over the the party, lots of pretty people trying to be seen. Talk to some other residents and some other folks I knew for a few minutes. About four o'clock they start clearing folks out. So we take our group and head over to Kurt Francischini's place. For those who arent familiar with this guy. He is a fifty year old man who owns a terrace unit in the building as a "party house". He's from Houston and has basically transformed his unit into a high end nightclub. I had never met the man and all I am going to say is this guy is a piece of work. I live pretty fast and intensely but this guy and his little hanger on guys and girls even make me raise an eyebrow. I mean damn people. If you are not extremely assertive and almost downright aggressive, dont step foot in this place. It's basically a shark tank and if you dont make a point to let folks know that you're not going to put up with them sizing you up or hitting on your girl, they'll come over the top of you. I see why a lot of the other residents dont really hang out over there a lot. Basically, it was like a scene out of Scarface crossed with a porno movie. People completely passed out in random places and people having sex pretty much everywhere.
I got trusted with a secret yesterday that really sucks keeping it. Its one of those things where you're like "damn I wish I wouldnt have found that out".

I Think I Might Be Too Competitive
I just filled out my NCAA tournament bracket. All I'm gonna say is I am such a UT homer. Got them going to the Final Four. After that...Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk. Might as well hand the money over to me now.
On the subject of basketball, had another wacky time last night in the office league. Game got so out of hand, the referee threatened to call the game in the middle of the second half. Punches being thrown, people getting thrown out (I personally got a technical called on me and threatened by the referee for trying to finish a fight that I didn't start). Other team played rather dirty and about halfway through the first half, I decided I had enough of it. The same guy had been fouling me hard every time I got the ball and the referees wouldn't call it. I turn around after one particularly blatant foul and just flick the ball at him and hit him in the stomach with it. His 5'7" teammate decides he needs to step up and defend his teammate. He starts yelling and coming at me. I have my back turned to him and I turn and see he's talking to me and coming at me. At this point, I decide that there has been too much talking and not enough action, I dont say a word and just start walking to meet the guy. Straight at him. He realizes he has pissed the big kid off and begins doing the whole "hold me back" bit behind one of his teammates. Unluckily for him, my teammates don't care to slow me down. I am two steps from him and his teammate and am getting ready for the shot heard round the City of Austin league and the referee basically tackles me from behind. At this point I'm like "I was just walking" (I never said anything). Bang...Technical Foul "keep talking and I will call another one on you and you'll be ejected". Whatever. Two minutes later, me and one of my high school teammates put a trap on one of their guys and get a turnover. During the scramble and resulting mele, their guy hits my teammate in the face. It was on at this point. Me and my teammate get after the guy. After being separated, the referee calls a tech on my teammate and the opposing player. My teammate was incensed by this call being that he was the one who got hit in the face. He starts in on the referee about how its the ref's job to protect the players and he was not doing his job at all. Bang...ejected. At this point the referee decides he's going to call the game because it's getting out of hand. We convince him not to and as soon as he agrees, the other team starts talking shit again. I get into it with yet another player when he starts running his mouth about how he didn't foul me and I, in fact, fouled him. I told him he was full of crap and needed to learn the rules of the game and if he knew them he would know that he did in fact foul me. I was having a pretty good game, scoring wise, so when he retorts "well I guess lowering your shoulder is just your game", my response is "my game has more points than your entire team". It was a true statement at that point. Nothing like having it thrown in your face that the player you're talking trash to has outscored your entire team to shut somebody. He did not have anymore to say after that. Anyway, we won, I think Justin has to sit out next week also for getting thrown out. Tempers have been flaring lately. I got in trouble in my Saturday league last week to the point the referees had to stop the game and tell both teams to stop talking or play wouldn't continue. That was only because some little guy told me not to throw an elbow again and he wouldn't shut up about it and I politely asked "what are you going to do about it if I do"? Then his teammate reminded me that I was not the only big guy on the court and I politely told him that I was bigger than both of them put together.
With that diatribe done, I can say I never open my mouth first. But...if someone is gonna talk to the talk, I just assume they'll walk the walk. So I just skip straight to the walking part.
South By...Let's Get The Hell Out of Here
Well...South by Southwest is upon us. No Bueno. About three hours ago, four million people rolled into town and they are the indie music and film type. Im ready to get out of Austin until Sunday. Or at least get away from downtown. More about this later.
The only good thing that may come from this is the Maxim magazine party that is happening on the roof of my building this weekend. Apparently the scoop is that there should be some big names perform at this party. Could make for a good beer drinking session by the pool. We'll see.
Spurs game Saturday night, may try to make a night of it and head over to Howl at The Moon afterward. Lots of options here.
Tahoe trip got cancelled, nobody who was going could get real excited about it. We were like "oh ok, let's go skiing". I proposed postponing the trip and finding some other guy trip to take. Few ideas we're kicking around right now. They're gonna be really masculine and should be a great time. Considering going international on these trips.
So The Domain opened last weekend. I have not been yet. I hear it's great and it's much like shopping in Vegas. If that's the case, I better sign up for my frequent shopper card. In all actuality, a big part of the reason I have not been yet is Im worried I will overspend.
Took the new boat out last Saturday afternoon with the neighbors and drank a few beers. Everything went smooth. It's a lot of boat and getting to and from the lake is a bitch.
A bunch of guys from the office are riding bikes over to the casinos in Louisiana this weekend. Im still considering going, but I just cant get excited about riding that far on a motorcycle. Thats what they make airplanes for. Im dying to get out of town, maybe as early as tomorrow because of this dang SXSW.

Just Some Filler
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Bright sunshine filled day here in the capital city. Chuck demanded a shout out on the blog this morning. So ..."hey buddy, hope the workday is going well".
Boat salesman called me back Friday and told me he had been sick all week and that's why he hadn't returned my call from Wednesday. Promised me the boat would be ready Wednesday and "absolutely no later than Thursday". Maybe it will be ready Friday.
Tahoe is upon us it looks like. Talked to some folks up that way and they say everything is perfect right now. Looking like I will be up there the weekend of the 16-19 for a little guy's trip. I'm thinking I may focus a little more on the snowboarding part of it this trip. If it goes like every other time I have said this, I'll strap on a snowboard the first day, get overconfident by the end of the day, convince myself I can do something I cant, hurt myself a little, be back on skis for the rest of the trip.
Last weekend went well. Late getting up to the lake as usual. Headed over to the wedding and had a few cocktails at the reception. Ended up having enough cocktails to pass out by about ten thirty. It was really hard for everyone to get motivated about the lake and partying when it was real cold outside and we are all wearing suits. Good to see the whole lake crowd, first time we have all been in one place in quite some time. There were a few notable absences, but I'm sure we'll see them before too long. The wedding really made me realize and thankful that I am the youngest one of this group. When the conversation turned to babysitters and picking up the kids, I got really uncomfortable and immediately wanted to turn it to how drunk I got last weekend and the hilarity that ensued. Leigh represented at the wedding in a big way. She kept it real by drinking enough for all of us. Sunday morning we all went to breakfast at The Happy Cooker, a Granite Shoals landmark, and waited forty-five minutes for breakfast tacos. Hung out, got into some projects like we always do, and headed into Marble Falls to eat lunch. Went to Chili's and who do I run into? The "sick" boat salesman. Looked pretty healthy to me with the wife and kids and going up to Longhorn Caverns.
Spring break this weekend, no big plans other than not having class next week. Hooray for that. Assuming the boat gets done, I'm sure I will put it in and head up to Carlos and Charlies this weekend. If I am feeling very ostentatious, I may put it in Lake Austin and dominate the little ski boats at Hula Hut. That could be entertaining for at least a few minutes.
Birthday party is taking shape. Gonna be at Glass on Friday, April 13th. Got the invitations being printed this week, they're novel. Working on some other stuff that could make it a little more laid back and less drunk than last years for me. Mark your calendar though, its going to be a good time. Also be looking for details of the day after party thats going down on Lake Travis, weather permitting.

Busting the Place Up
Looking like another long weekend ski trip to Tahoe is in the works in the next couple of weeks. They got eight feet of snow last week, so I hear conditions are pristine right now. Just placed a call up to some locals to better learn about the snow conditions.
So, ive already told u all that Kenneth's wedding is this weekend. We were all looking forward to taking the new boat out on the lake this weekend. Well what does the genius boat shop do? The have a couple of knicks in the windshield powdercoat to fix so they remove the entire windshield and send it off for what they say should be no more than a week. That was three weeks ago. They've been telling me for three weeks they'll have it done and I was very patient and not in a rush and told them as long as I could pick it up March 2nd it would be fine. Oh yes sir yes sir it will be ready way before then. Well here it is and guess what...no boat. I went in there this morning and the only person I could find was the service writer. The service manager, my salesman, and the owner were all gone. These are the three people that i needed to get ahold of. The service writer tells me he doesnt know anything about it and he cant seem to get ahold of the svc. manager. Anyway go back over there a few hours later and he tells me it will be late next week. I lose it at this point. Basically caused a scene in the boat dealership. Call the salesman on his cell phone and leave him a message. He wont call me back because I am sure he knows why I am calling. But, Im saving it up for when he does finally return the call.
The depth of some people's stupidity, ignorance, lack of compassion and conscience truly amazes me. Or maybe its none of these, maybe they're just f-ing crazy? This is totally unrelated to the boat deal by the way. Im not that upset about the boat.
